About Sachse, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Sachse is a Texas town named for its founder, William Sachse, a Prussian immigrant. Seventeen miles northeast of Dallas in far northeastern Dallas County and southern Collin County, it is small and quaint but every bit as lovely and inviting as the other towns in the North Texas area. The beautiful Texas weather never disappoints and big personalities, tons of history and fun times, in general, abound in Texas…making it an ideal place to learn more about culture, the arts and American history.
Before their marriage, William C. Sachse’s wife, Elizabeth, owned a large colony and subsequently purchased additional acreage from Collin County. In 1886 they donated land for the right-of-way to the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway in exchange for naming the station Sachse. The town grew slowly but steadily until the 1990’s when it began to grow in leaps and bounds, doubling each decade to its 2010 census population of 20,000 due to its convenient location and influx of a variety of businesses including high-tech optical instrument manufacturing, publishing and furniture making.
The city of Sachse is home to 11 parks as well as indoor facilities. They hold events and festivals throughout the year and there are activities for children, seniors and adults of all ages and interests. The Sachse Historical Society, founded in 1989, offers attendees an insight into the history and culture of the town at its museum which showcases an antique fire truck and farm equipment. The Historical Society and City sponsor celebrations throughout the year to commemorate Veteran’s Day, Memorial Day and much more.
