About Rowlett, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Rowlett is a small Texas town with a big heart. It is located on a lovely lake, and is not far from Dallas. Though it only has 57,000 citizens, it has some wonderful amenities, such as restaurants, marinas, golf courses and more. The beautiful weather year-round makes it easy to enjoy these lovely activities and locations. The lake has attracted a population boom since its completion in 1971 and it has become an ideal suburb for retirees, families and kids.
The town has some interesting history. The community derives its name from Rowlett Creek, which was named for a waterway running through the property of Daniel Rowlett. He was of a prominent local political family and he moved from Kentucky to the state of Texas in 1835. He actually had no dealings with the town, though his name was used for the town’s moniker. With multiple railroads running through the town, Rowlett was a busy little community in the 19th century. However, the true boom in the area happened when the manmade lake was built. Texas is the ideal place for a lake and people flocked to the town to enjoy water fun.
The weather in the area allows for a great deal of activity outdoors throughout the year. There are several marinas situated along the lake which are a great way to socialize and enjoy the scenery. You can also get out in the sunshine for the day at the Waterview Golf Club. The par 72 championship golf course is appropriate for players of all levels and will surely make for a fun day for anyone who loves to hit the green and also loves water and awesome scenery. It’s fun for the whole family!
