About Plano, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Plano is a Texas town that is nothing short of lovely. The trademark year-round warm, sunny weather of Texas and the friendly and comfortable community combine to create a place that is just a place people want to be. Not far from Dallas, the town is convenient to those big city amenities like restaurants, museums and cultural activities around the area. However, Plano is also home to many lovely parks, shops, business parks and more. It is certainly no small town. Plano is the headquarters for many corporations and there are plentiful jobs which contribute to a healthy economy.
The parks and rec department in Plano has built and maintained many beautiful facilities that are enjoyable for all ages and in any weather. There are two main open space preserves: Bob Woodruff Park, as well as Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve. These two preserves are linked by biking trails and actually create a combined, uninterrupted park space. The entire green space is actually larger than Central Park. There are five recreation centers in Plano and a dog park for pet owners. The Parks and Rec Department operates three performing arts venues, which the city owns. There is a fourth currently under construction.
If you happen to be in town on an uncharacteristically cool or rainy day, then you should be sure to check out some local history and culture. The Heritage Farmstead Museum is the premiere living history museum interpreting the Texas black-land prairie region as it was in history. It is an American Association of Museums accredited institution. The museum and surrounding farms are 4.5 acres and the museum is meant to transport you back in time. Check out the interior museum and house when the weather is unpleasant and explore the farmland when the weather is warm.
